The Outlot is the central gathering place for Hermits Lake Association picnics, meetings and other community events. It features many amenities, including a large shelter, grass volleyball court and beach area. The outlot is open to HLHA members, and a key for the gate can be obtained through the HLHA board.
The rules for the outlot are:
- For use by HLHA members only.
- Adult supervision is required at all times.
- Homeowners are responsible for the actions of their guests.
- Swim at your own risk.
- No campfires.
- No climbing of the fences that surround the outlot.
- The outlot is closed from dusk to dawn everyday.
The HLHA takes great pride in caring for and preserving this wonderful recreational area for residents. We are always looking for volunteers to help with mowing the lawn, maintaining the picnic area and other general repairs. If you would like to help with any of the above, please contact a member of the board.
HLHA Summer Picnic
Thank you to all the homeowners who have paid their 2014 HOA dues. If you have not paid yet this year, please do so soon. We depend on everyone's help to keep the lake treated, stocked and maintained!
We have received a number of responses concerning the new covenants. The majority have favored the proposed changes, but we need everyone's input to assure they will be agreed on. Please contact Bob Lowry to discuss your views on this important matter.
Community Beach Water Report
The community beach area water quality is monitored by the Lake County Health Department. There are occasions where this area is closed due to beach hazards. For the current beach water report, please visit the IDEM BeachGuard website.
